A Father Growing a Family
While attending my Home church “First” conference, held each year as the new year dawns, had a perspective altering thought by Jack Hayford:
“God is not a Taskmaster – God is a Father growing a Family”
God is not a reduction force, and you certainly can’t even make God just a force of addition.
God multiplies; leverages and expands. There will be a Great Day!
He will come to claim us with a rushing windBlown like fields of wheat, the world will bow and bend
Held between our joy and disbelief
Every trembling heart will finally face the same way
On the great dayOne day Love will wear the crown; one day Love will set us free
Hands up high and faces down; angels teaching us to sing
He will be King, He will be King by Michael W. Smith and Darlene Zscehe Sparrow Records (i think)
My walk with Father and my walk observing other people is probably at best most people look at God as some kind of great “Coach”. He is not your coach!
He is a pursuing Father – easily proven. But here’s the problem with that; I don’t know what your image of Father is!?
Tell me your story- and I’ll tell you mine!
